Essential Educational Websites

Incorporating technology into the classroom is very important in todays classrooms. Finding appropriate sites for assisting your students as well as you is becoming easier and easier.  Students become engaged and learn without even realizing they are leaning.  There are also great incentives to help with classroom behavior and parent communication.   Each site listed gives a brief explanation on it is beneficial in the classroom.

Students are able to assess on the books they read.  Each book will award points in comprehension questions are answered correctly. 

This website also utelizes your smartphone.  You are able to assess students without paper and pencil.  

This fun engaging site allows students to work on math and ela  skills at their levels.  Students compete against students from around the United States. 

EPIC is a resource to find informational texts as well as other text to support topics you are teaching. 

SMART exchange is a place to find templates as well as many pre-made interactive resources to use with your smart board.  

Brainpop and Brainpopjr are a useable resource for any age and any topic.  At the end of short lesson there is quiz to take to make sure students were paying attention.  There are also activities.

This site is used to give students another voice in the classroom.  There are many books online that are read aloud by celebrities.

This website is good for practicing skills in math and ela based on grade level and standard topic.  It provides questions many different ways, as well as gives explanations to help you understand incorrect answers.
